Celebrate the vibrant spirit of our local community with a free day at Ford House! Join us on Saturday, April 11, 2026, for Community Appreciation Day, where we say thank you to the neighbors and friends who make this place so special.
Whether you’re a long-time neighbor or a first-time guest, this is a perfect opportunity to explore the estate, meet fellow community members, and enjoy a day of discovery and connection.
Admission is free, but advance registration is recommended to reserve your spot and help us plan for a smooth experience.
Explore, Discover, and Connect
Enjoy free admission to the historic Ford House estate, where you can:
- Gardens and grounds open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Main Residence open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Auxiliary buildings open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. ( Josephine's Playhouse and Garage)
- Stop by the Visitor Center to shop and view current exhibitions
- Dine with a view at The Continental, offering fresh, flavorful meals and snacks
Michigan and National History Day
This year, Ford House will celebrate Michigan and National History Day participation by offering space to display student projects. Students or teachers with exhibits, websites, documentaries, papers, or performances are all invited to register online from January 12 to March 21. Accepted participants will be notified by March 28 and must be present on April 11 during the event.Â

All ticket sales, memberships, and other purchases are non-refundable. Refunds will only be issued if Ford House closes or cancels an event. In such cases, guests with tickets or reservations will be notified.
