Available School Tours

Grades PreK-12

$7 per student and adult chaperone | Free for teachers
We are now offering a 60-minute guided experience for K-2 and a 90-minute guided experience for 3-12. Bring your classroom for a grade-appropriate experience developed around state content standards. Students will engage in discussion, play, and critical thinking in a learner-centered environment. Reinforce learning with a hands-on project or sensory station.

Camps & Homeschools

$7 per student and adult chaperone | Free for teachers
Bring your students for a grade-appropriate experience. School group tours are developed around state content standards in science, art, or history. Students will engage in critical thinking, discussion, and play, in a learner-centered environment. Learning will be reinforced with a hands-on project or activity. Programs are 90-120 minutes depending on age and topic.

Scouts

$7 per scout and adult | Free for troop leaders
Earn a badge while exploring the main residence, grounds, or exhibit spaces. Reinforce learning with a hands-on project.

College

$10 per student | Free for faculty
Explore historical and contemporary issues. Facilitated conversations and experiential learning opportunities await.

School Tour Information

All groups should allow for a minimum of 90 minutes for their visit to accommodate for arrival, orientation, bathroom breaks, travel on the estate, and departure. Tardiness may impact tour plan. Arrival more than 30 minutes late may result in cancellation. Please email grouptours@fordhouse.org or call 313-884-4222 to schedule a visit with at least 3 weeks' notice.
