Tails in Motion at Ford House
Leash up your whole family for an unforgettable experience on the grounds of Ford House on May 16, 2026. Tails in Motion is an outdoor walking event for you and your (leashed) dog hosted by the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society. Featured will be a prize raffle, the Grosse Pointe Woods K-9 Unit, and children’s activities. Non-retractable leashes and proof of rabies vaccination required upon entry. Drinks/snacks will be available for purchase. Admission to the event is a donation to GPAAS. While not required, an early RSVP helps us maximize our resources for the animals. Secure your spot today!

About Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society
Founded in 1991 and officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1996, the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society (GPAAS) has been a steady force in animal rescue and protection for decades.
Since its founding, GPAAS has helped nearly 8,000 animals find safe, loving homes. In addition, more than 4,000 animals have been sheltered through its intake facility, which opened in March 2012 to support local municipalities.
That original location continues to operate today as a state-licensed animal protection intake facility, providing care for unvaccinated stray pets recovered by local public safety departments.
GPAAS is the only state-licensed animal shelter serving all of the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods, making it a critical resource for both animals and the communities it serves.
