Immerse yourself in beauty and inspiration at Ford House’s Paint Out, our en plein air painting event for adults! Set up your easel across 87 acres of picturesque landscapes, from serene lake views to lush forests, historic architecture, and vibrant gardens. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just starting your creative journey, this outdoor painting celebration welcomes all skill levels.

✨ Event Highlights:

  • Access to Ford House’s stunning grounds to find your perfect scene.
  • A chance to win cash prizes: $1,000 for first place, $500 for second, and $250 for third.
  • Opportunity to submit up to two framed artworks for judging.
  • Your ticket includes the Fresh Paint Party, a lively evening celebration of creativity, complete with a complimentary drink ticket. Water and snacks will be available, but bringing your own extras is encouraged!

🖌️ Important Details:

  • Supplies are not provided or sold on-site, so be sure to bring everything you need: canvas, paper, brushes, painting medium, and a frame for submission.
  • This event is for adults 18 and older.

🕰️ Paint Out Schedule:

  • 8-10 a.m.: Check-in and get a stamp for all media you plan to use (unstamped work cannot be entered for prizes).
  • 8 a.m.-3 p.m.: Paint across Ford House’s grounds.
  • 3-4 p.m.: Frame your artwork for the juried prize (frames not provided) and drop it off with the Education Staff.
  • 6-8 p.m.: Fresh Paint Party—celebrate the day’s creativity with other artists, enjoy your free drink ticket, and see the prizes awarded!
