About this event:

Join us as we learn all about basket weaving. This beginner-level project will include all the supplies and instruction. Want to learn more or make a second basket? Sign up for the afternoon Maker Studio: Harvest Basket! You are welcome to purchase tickets to both classes, regardless of your basket weaving experience. Both classes will offer hands-on help.

This basket introduces essential weaving techniques and includes a choice of accent color, handle placement, and handle decorative weave. Measures: 6”W x 8”L x 3.5” tall + handle.

Our instructor will be Deborah VanderLinde. Deborah VanderLinde is a veteran basket weaver and teacher. She is the author of three “The Basketmak’r” pattern books and was the founding publisher of the nationally distributed quarterly, “Just Patterns: The Idea Magazine for Basketmakers.”  Retired from a career as a music educator at Oakland University, Deborah enjoys introducing others to the creative process and craftsmanship in basketry by teaching classes throughout SE Michigan.
