ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE:

Learn how to make a larger Harvest-style basket in time for the holiday season. All the tools and instructions will be included at this Maker Studio. Haven’t tried basket weaving before and want to start smaller? Check out the morning session of Maker Studio: Beginner Basket Weaving and make a beginner-level basket. You are welcome to purchase tickets to both classes, regardless of your basket weaving experience. Both classes will offer hands-on help.

This attractive basket also introduces essential weaving techniques. With the sloped sides, it is perfect to hold your garden bounty or to use for holiday decorating. Measures: 9”W x 14”L x 8” tall with handle

Our instructor will be Deborah VanderLinde. Deborah VanderLinde is a veteran basket weaver and teacher. She is the author of three “The Basketmak’r” pattern books and was the founding publisher of the nationally distributed quarterly, “Just Patterns: The Idea Magazine for Basketmakers.” Retired from a career as a music educator at Oakland University, Deborah enjoys introducing others to the creative process and craftsmanship in basketry by teaching classes throughout SE Michigan.
