Geese Are Nesting on Grounds
Spring is here, and that means some of our feathered friends are nesting on the grounds. While exploring, please be aware of geese, as they can be protective of their nests. For your safety, we advise all guests to walk at their own risk and give geese plenty of space. Thank you for helping us respect our wildlife! 🦆🌿
Gardens & Recreation Guided Tour
ABOUT THIS EVENT:
Step into the verdant legacy of Eleanor and Edsel Ford with a guided tour of our meticulously crafted gardens and grounds. Our knowledgeable tour staff will lead you through Eleanor’s beloved Rose Garden and the stately Formal Garden, along with the Recreation Building and other auxiliary buildings on the estate, illuminating the stories of visionary figures such as Albert Kahn and Jens Jensen, whose artistry shaped these landscapes.
This 50-minute outdoor exploration offers a serene immersion into the estate’s natural beauty. Please note that the terrain, while enchanting, presents uneven pathways, making this tour unsuitable for those with mobility challenges. We kindly advise guests to dress comfortably for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.
Discover the harmonious blend of history and nature that defines Ford House. Secure your tickets today, as availability is limited, and embark on a journey through time and tranquility. Reserve your place and experience the enduring beauty of our gardens.
After your guided tour, we encourage you to explore the Main Residence and auxiliary buildings. You can also stop by the Visitor Center’s three exhibitions, grab a bite in our restaurant, and visit The Shop at Ford House.
