Join us at Science Saturdays at Ford House! This session, Map Quest, invites families to learn how to read and use maps through interactive games, then put those skills to the test on an exciting treasure hunt. The program begins indoors with a short presentation and navigation activities, then heads outside to search for our prize.
This program is designed for families with children ages 7–11.
Science Saturdays at Ford House take place once a month from April through August and invite families with curious kids to explore science with organizations from around the city. In April, the Ford House Landscape Team will be leading the program.
About Science Saturdays at Ford House
Science Saturdays at Ford House is a monthly program running April through August that brings curious kids and their families together to explore science, nature, and the world around them. Each month features a different topic and a different partner organization from around the Detroit area, so there is always something new to discover.
Programs take place on Ford House’s grounds and in the Visitor Center, blending indoor learning with outdoor exploration. Sessions are designed for families with children ages 7 to 11.
Science Saturdays at Ford House is part of our broader commitment to education and community engagement. Ford House partners with local schools, nature organizations, and cultural institutions to bring hands-on science programming to families in Grosse Pointe and the surrounding region.
