Light, Lens & Legacy: A Ford House Photography Workshop & Photo Walk

Capturing love’s essence through expressive imagery.

Join Birmingham-based photographers RJ & Cheryl Jones for Light, Lens, & Legacy—a hands-on photography workshop and guided photo walk set against the stunning backdrop of the historic Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores.

This immersive experience goes beyond technique. It’s about learning to photograph not just what’s in front of you, but what you feel and see—from stately architecture to shifting light, quiet gardens to bold perspectives.

Open to all skill levels, this workshop invites you to explore both the art of documentation and the power of creative vision. Along the way, RJ and Cheryl will offer real-time guidance, thoughtful prompts, and artistic insight to help you create images that reflect your unique point of view.

Inspired by the Ford family’s legacy of love, playfulness, and creative generosity, this is more than a photo walk—it’s a chance to reconnect with your vision in a place that invites reflection and wonder.

No experience required—just a curious eye, an open heart, and any kind of camera, including smartphones. Leave with meaningful images, new skills, and a deeper connection to your craft—and to this extraordinary place.
