Food Tales: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
Food Tales: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
This summer at Ford House, reading comes with a side of art and a snack to match.
Every week, we’re reading a food-themed picture book and making art inspired by the story. A new book, a new project, a new reason to get a little messy. Children ages 4 and up are welcome.
This week’s pick is “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” by Judi Barrett. A grandfather’s bedtime story about a town where food falls from the sky like rain. It goes about as well as you’d expect. After the story, children will decorate their own aprons using some wonderfully unconventional painting supplies.
Snacks are included, because of course they are.
This program is designed for children ages 4 and up. If your child is 3 or younger, our free Storytime on Tuesday mornings is a wonderful fit.
