It is well known that the Ford family championed the arts in and around Detroit. They also made significant contributions to organizations that supported families in the area. In honor of this legacy, Ford House announces a call for entries of poems to be published and distributed as part of Home for the Holidays at Ford House, November 30-December 22. Additionally, Ford House will make a contribution to The Family Center of Grosse Pointe and Harper Woods and encourage our visitors to do the same.

FOR STUDENTS:
To be eligible to submit a poem, you must be aged 12-18. You must use the form linked below for your poem to be considered. Include your name, address, email, age, grade, and school (if applicable). Only first names and ages will be published. To receive a free copy of the chapbook, you must include your mailing address.

Poems should be a maximum of one page (8.5×11”) and themed around “Home for the Holidays” as part of Ford House’s events. Poems will be reviewed for theme and content by Ford House staff. If a poem contains language that may be considered inappropriate or harmful, it might not be included in the published chapbook. If you have questions, please email educationprograms@fordhouse.org.
