Curious what you and your kids can do this fall at Ford House?

There are a lot of opportunities to enjoy Ford House with your family this fall. From storybook readings to massive Halloween events, there’s something for every family member, whether you’re a kid or kid-at-heart.

Storytime
Storytime
Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Your little bookworm will journey through captivating tales and exciting adventures. This October, we explore shapes with Tim Hopgood’s Walter’s Wonderful Web. In November, The Mitten takes us deep into the woods with some curious animals. Storytime takes place on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m., and admission is FREE!

Harvest DayHarvest Day
Saturday, October 7, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Bring your family out for a full day of exploration and autumn-time treats at Harvest Day! Visit the fall market where local farmers will offer their harvest best: pumpkins, apples, fall bouquets, and more. Enjoy free family fun, including old-school lawn games, a petting zoo, horse and pony rides, and plenty of photo ops. Guests can explore the outdoors and – free of charge during Harvest Day – peek inside the historic home of Edsel and Eleanor Ford, strolling the first floor. Walking tours are family-friendly, allowing you to uncover the story of Ford House at your own pace. Harvest Day is on Saturday, October 7, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Donuts and cider from Blake’s are available, but we recommend purchasing in advance as they always sell out!

ExplorersExplorers
Saturday, October 14 at 11 a.m.

Kids ages 6 to 9 will enjoy our Explorers program. We explore the weather on Saturday, October 14, at 11 a.m.! Kids can join us on a short walk around Ford House, where they’ll check out some fun weather experiments and make a weather window to take home. If the sun is out this day, make a weather-inspired art project to take home! Admission is just $5.

Little GoblinsLittle Goblins
Saturday, October 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A beloved October tradition, Little Goblins is our full-estate event where your little ones can celebrate Halloween with spooky yet kid-friendly fun. There will be trick-or-treating stops, photo ops, and a haunt-free wagon ride. Little Goblins takes place on Saturday, October 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission starts at $5. Children under one-year-old who are not trick-or-treating are free. Costumes are welcome and encouraged!

Family WorkshopFamily Workshop

Get creative and messy when you and your family create your own collection of plates at our next Family Workshop. Be inspired by the different plate designs the Fords had for their special occasions. Each family member gets a plate to decorate. Dress accordingly! This Family Workshop is best for families with children ages 6 to 10 and takes place on Saturday, November 4 at 1 p.m.
