SUMMARY:Autumn Shoreline Guided Tour
DESCRIPTION:Autumn Shoreline Guided Tour\nExperience the changing season along the water on the Autumn Shoreline Guided Tour at Ford House.\nThis 50-minute outdoor guided walk follows the shoreline of Ford Cove and Bird Island, offering a closer look at the natural beauty and thoughtful landscape design that define the estate. Led by a knowledgeable guide, the tour weaves together stories of Eleanor and Edsel Ford with insights into the naturalistic principles of renowned landscape architect Jens Jensen.\nAs you walk beside the water, you will experience the shoreline as it was intended, shaped to feel organic, reflective, and deeply connected to the surrounding environment. Seasonal colors, crisp air, and lake views create a calm, immersive setting while your guide shares stories of life at Ford House and the ecological importance of this lakeside landscape.\nPlease note: The Autumn Shoreline Guided Tour includes uneven woodchip and gravel paths and may be challenging for guests with mobility limitations. Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes.\nThe Autumn Shoreline Guided Tour offers a serene and informative way to explore Ford House from a new perspective, where history, design, and nature meet along the water’s edge.\nPlanning a 4 p.m. Tour\nGuests booking the 4 p.m. tour should plan to visit the other buildings open to visitors before the tour begins. Those buildings close once the 4 p.m. tour ends.\nNext Occurrences\n\n\nFriday, October 2, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nSaturday, October 3, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nSunday, October 4, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nTuesday, October 6, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nWednesday, October 7, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nThursday, October 8, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nFriday, October 9, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nSaturday, October 10, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nSunday, October 11, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nTuesday, October 13, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nWednesday, October 14, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nThursday, October 15, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nFriday, October 16, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nSaturday, October 17, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nSunday, October 18, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nTuesday, October 20, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nWednesday, October 21, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nThursday, October 22, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nFriday, October 23, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nSaturday, October 24, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nSunday, October 25, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nTuesday, October 27, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nWednesday, October 28, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nThursday, October 29, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nFriday, October 30, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\nSaturday, October 31, 2026\n\n1:00 pm – 2:00 pm\n\n \n\n
