SUMMARY:All About Eleanor Guided Tour
DESCRIPTION:All About Eleanor | Guided Tour\nStep into the life and legacy of Eleanor Ford on this engaging guided tour that explores the woman behind Ford House and the vision that shaped it.\nThe All About Eleanor Guided Tour offers a focused look at Eleanor Ford as a tastemaker, creative force, and philanthropist whose influence extended far beyond the walls of her home. Led by an expert guide, this experience reveals how Eleanor’s artistic sensibility, curiosity, and commitment to beauty helped define the character of Ford House and the way it was lived in.\nAs you move through the Main Residence, Eleanor’s story unfolds through thoughtfully designed interiors and personal details. Learn how she collaborated with interior designer Polly Jessup to create spaces that balance comfort and elegance, layering fabrics, furnishings, and finishes with intention and care. Each room reflects Eleanor’s belief that design should be both beautiful and livable.\nAlong the way, discover stories of the gatherings she hosted, the causes she championed, and the thoughtful decisions that shaped the estate during her lifetime. This 55-minute guided tour offers a deeper, more personal perspective on Eleanor Ford, highlighting the creativity, generosity, and quiet leadership that continue to resonate today.\nCapacity is limited, and advance registration is strongly recommended. The All About Eleanor Guided Tour invites you to see Ford House through Eleanor’s eyes and gain a richer understanding of the woman whose vision still guides the estate.\n Planning a 4 p.m. Tour\n Guests booking the 4 p.m. tour should plan to visit the other buildings open to visitors before the tour begins. Those buildings close once the 4 p.m. tour ends.\n
