Once Upon a Time: Grimmly Inspired
July 28 - November 4
At the centerpiece of the celebration is Once Upon a Time: Grimmly Inspired, an exhibit featuring original works of art created by community adult and student artists, alongside historic illustrations from the Detroit Public Library. Their fantastical interpretation of select Grimm stories will be displayed in an area transformed into multi-sensory spaces: an enchanted forest, a candy house and outside the castle walls. You will literally walk into the story!
Storybook Landscape Discovery Trail
July 28 - November 4
Explore the Storybook Landscape Discovery Trail, woven throughout the Ford House grounds, with hidden treasure chests that will unlock your imagination. Families are invited to pick up an adventure map and discover areas to sit and read together, games to play and activities to complete.
Admittance to the exhibit and discovery trail is included with regular admission and free to members.
